This is not the start to our lacrosse season that anyone is happy about. We will NOT start our lacrosse season or practice as we had scheduled 3/16/20. This action is taken with the consideration of statewide guidance provided by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine. The guidance, which goes into effect today, March 13th, strongly encourages social distancing, which includes the suspension of large gatherings and events for a two-week period. In addition, the guidance discourages individuals from traveling to recreational activities like gyms, movie theaters and shopping malls. I have been directed not to hold practice or gather children at any location. We are a non-school sanctioned sport, however CASD allows us to use their fields and services free of charge. We have developed a good working relationship with the CASD and do not want to tarnish it in any way. Please do not go to the fields to practice individually or with friends. No one is to be on CASD property while schools are closed due to the current Corona situation.

All non-district organizations will no longer be permitted to use or rent district owned facilities before or after school hours, or on weekends.

I will continue to have open communications with CASD athletic director and CASD to determine when our players are safe to start practice. We are part of Central Penn district. I normally would not have a schedule until the last week of March. With the current situation, this may change. As soon as I hear any information concerning our play season, I will pass along the information to you all.

I apologize for any inconvenience; this is out of our hands. We will do our best to keep you informed as we know anything.
